I left a urine sample on Thursday 13th and I received a follow up call later, and again in the morning of the 14th. My symptoms were very dark urine with the odd blood clot and bladder discomfort. It was decided to prescribe antibiotics plus I was asked to speak to urology at St. Richard’s for further advice, I spoke to the nurse who had dealt with me the previous week where I failed a TWOC. She advised mirabegron and sent an email to the Avisford surgery. I rang to advise them to expect the email.
Late Friday my antibiotics were not at chemist, again Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon I was in such discomfort that I rang 111 and they got me an appointment at the UTC St Richard’s. There they prescribed antibiotics that I picked from Tesco pharmacy on way home.
Since then my urine is a clearer colour - I still have an irritable bladder but not as bad as Thursday to Saturday.
Not checked if prescription in from Avisford but possibly could do with the mirabegron. Tried calling today but phone queue and pressing 2 for callback didn’t seem to work.
The lady I spoke to on Thursday and Friday was helpful but it seems somewhere along the line my situation was missed.
