Ok, so just because it works wonders for me, does not automatically mean it will work for everyone. Generally speaking, it does appear to have a high result rate. It is a mood booster for me and I am slowly coming off it and my mood appears more stable. So, I love it.

Only side effect I have is a dry mouth taking Venlafaxine. Other than that I have had no side effects and the drug has helped me enormously.

My father was prescribed this drug for anxiety and depression, but mostly for the anxiety. It made little difference to the anxiety but his side effects included sleep disturbance, increased heart rate, agitation and light headedness. After two months of taking the medication he decided to taper off which took 3 months of dizziness, and all the above side effects. His friend was on the same medication, had a heart attack and then was advised to cut the medication immediately as it has been associated with serious health risks. From what i have seen this medication should be reserved for very extreme cases and there should have been other medications tried before my father was given this one.

I was given this also for anxiety to start with and it did help but i needed a higher dosage, the great thing about this medicine is it also helps with hot flushes in the menopause, it takes away the worst so it is worth trying for that reason too. This is 1 tablet i could not do without at the moment any way. I don't know if i am getting dry mouth from it because i take a variety of others.
