Marketed first 25 years ago under the brand name Zoton It was the first proton pump inhibitor It works by controlling the amount of acid your pump sends into your stomach We even sold it in hospital to reduce the need for so many ulcer ops because Zotan+ antibiotics healed small
Now it is very widely prescribed by drs to protect stomachs from many forms of gastric irritant drugs such as non steroidals
After 18 years use I have yet to have any side effects
i was on this from December 2016 until sometime this year it was for my bariatric surgery but I've got a cast iron stomach so I was taken of it. whatever medication your doctor is prescribing you is for a reason.
No side affects
It's one of the best medicine for stomach pains and I really appreciated this medication
If you have been preceibed this and take it regularly without investigation I would ask your doctor for a referral for an endoscopy. I was taking this for ages without knowing what good it was doing except from stopping my indigestion and heartburn. After a year I finally had a gastroscopy and a confirmed diagnosis. Still taking the medication as it helps for my conditions!
