If anyone is suffering from acid reflux, and it is causing great upset in your life? I would get down to the Doctor and ask to be given a course of this drug. Give it a try and your life will take on a new meaning. Use as it says in the morning before food and your day will take a turn around . Be patient it really works .I have been on the drug for a long time and if I miss one day don't I know about. I would recommend this drug to anyone. I hope this review helps others.
Following what now appears to have been my third TIA, the particular consultant with whom my NHS consultation was arranged prescribed Lansoprazole and Clopidogrel, and Atorvastatin. My Cholesterol was 4 point something, not high, and my blood pressure was also not high. My concern is not to suffer a stroke, or a recurrance. I assume that the first two are to thin my blood rather than use Aspirin. I have not been aware of any consequence of taking any of these medications, and I would never recommend taking any medication to others, My life quality us unchanged, no side effects, and I have little idea of how any of it works. I leave that to the Consultant. If he messes up, I will suffer, and become a statistic, that's all I know. I feel occasional short headache type spasms in my head, but assume that it is just blood passing through wherever. I have no idea whether or what damage might have resulted from the TIA. I am living my life as before and travelling overseas for two months from next week. I hope to have a follow up appointment after my return.
I have not had noticeable problems before, or since my gastric bleeding so it is difficult to make definitive comments. However there are no side effects or any sign of acidity.
I get no side effects with this medicine.Without it I would suffer heart burn.
I have reflux and acid indigestion which is kept under control, one in the morning is enough

Lansoprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough. This medication helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus. Lansoprazole belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
