I have been on budesonide for a year and 8 months; started off at 3x3mg per day, now down to 1x3mg per day. My wonderful consultant started me on azathioprine 10 months ago, starting off at 1x 50mg per day, now down to1x 25mg every 2nd day. My white blood cells though, have been down lately; however I get my blood checked every 4 weeks. I am though feeling very tired a lot of the time; however can cope with that rather than pain. If you get a great consultant, then you're always on the winning side. Read reviews of Dr Marc Cram of Wishaw General Hospital at this web site and you'll see what I mean.
