He gave me the full facts about my condition. He explained my treatment options clearly and when I could not decide whether to be operated on or not, he gave me a further month to think about it. I visited him again yesterday and was still undecided so he asked me where my pain levels were. We discussed that and again he explained the options quite clearly. That is when I decided I would not have the operation. However, Dr Singh did not end it there as he went on to say that I could be referred to him in the future should I so wish. I was very pleased and grateful that I was not to be dismissed without a plan for the future. I left feeling that I had made the right decision. At last, after deliberating for weeks, he also confirmed that he thought I had made the right decision at this time. He was amazing after I had finally made the decision. He understood my reasons and then went on to explain that I could have further consultation with him should I require to see him in the future to make my shoulder more comfortable as he also reiterated that there was the possibility of deterioration in the future.

Response from Prof. Bijayendra Singh

Thank you for your feedback. I believe in taking patients concerns and their view points when making any decisions. Its not a one way traffic but always a discussion and a dialogue.
