Professor Singh carried out a difficult full thickness repair to my left shoulder's rotor cuff. Before my referral to Prof Singh I was told it would be unlikely that I would have anything near the use I had before my injury. Prof Singh advised me that the repair would be tricky and that it may need the shoulder to be opened completely as opposed to key hole surgery but he assured me he would do the best he possibly could. My surgery was carried out through key hole methods and the repair has been very successful. Now five months post op, I have my full range of movement back, no pain and, although I am still doing my own physiotherapy, my strength is regaining week by week. I thank Prof Singh for his expertise and care, I feel extremely lucky that I was referred to him.

Response from Prof. Bijayendra Singh

Thank you. Its always good to be true to patient so that you can prepare them for a realistic option rather than painting too bleak or too rosy a picture. if patient is motivated to work on the rehab - the surgery is a small part of the recovery process.
