Having read an article about hip operations written by Mr Shah, I checked and found he worked in local London hospitals. I chose Mr Shah to be my consultant and was pleased when he accepted me as his patient. I was extremely anxious, not knowing what to expect, as I had never had an operation before. Meeting him gave me confidence; he listened to my fears and health concerns. I trusted his judgement, his reassurance and kindness was most welcome. He explained the procedure and encouraged me to ask questions. On the day of my operation, he showed great patience and understanding giving me a choice of postponing if necessary. I had a spinal anaesthetic, so was awake during the operation and fully aware of how efficiently and safely the team worked. They showed consideration at all times even to my choice of music. After the operation, Mr Shah reassured me that it had gone well. I have nothing but praise for Mr Shah
