I came to see Dr Shah about a hip arthritis problem. I had had contradictory information from the NHS, and wanted greater clarity. Dr Shah encouraged me to explain my symptoms and medical history thoroughly. He questioned me about the situation, and gave me a thorough examination. He then arranged for me to have a variety of scans straightaway, and was available for a follow-up appointment when the results were ready. He was able to greatly assuage my fears around previous diagnoses, pain and loss of mobility. He analyzed the new results for me in detail, giving me precise and full information on the various issues, and on the options that I could choose to pursue, whilst taking care to help me maintain optimism. He suggested follow-up steps, and told me what medical help he would be able to offer, should I choose to go down this or that path. He also explained that the lines of communication would be open, should I have further questions in future. I felt heard and supported by a caring and extremely capable professional with huge experience.
