After years of increasingly debilitating and depressing arthritis, in October 2012 at Guy’s Hospital I had an ‘Oxford’ partial replacement of my right knee, carried out by Mr Zameer Shah. The result was so good, and Mr Shah’s team so helpful and efficient, that I immediately had the same operation done on my left knee. I made a full and quick recovery and became fully mobile - and cheerful - again Seven years have now passed and I am happy to report that both knees are as good as they were immediately after the operation. I still have an excellent range of movement in both knees which, the occasional small twinge of residual arthritis apart in cold weather, give me no trouble and in good condition. I cannot recommend Mr Shah’s friendly approach and professional skills enough to anyone who is thinking of having a similar operation. Brian Vale
