I cannot express how much I would recommend Mr Bateman to anyone with spinal problems. He’s friendly, professional and a genuine nice guy! I saw him as a patient but working in the operating theatres myself, I would quite happily be in Me Batemans surgical team. His care is phenomenal and you can have some banter with him too!

I’ve recently been under Mr Batemans’ care as a private patient due to long NHS waiting lists for lower back pain and sciatica of my right leg. MRI # right L5 S1 disc bulge. Thus underwent caudal epidural and right microdisctectomy. Service 100% first class in all areas: professionalism, communication, knowledge, trust and both pre/post op care. I’ve been treated with dignity, respect and felt valued and informed throughout by all members of his team and the wider Nuffield staff. Thanks to them, I'm now on the road to recovery ❤️‍

Professional, caring consulation. Mr Bateman has superb experience and expertise in his speciality. He is approachable, puts you at ease, and listens to your worries and concerns. He is reassuring, and gives you full details of all treatment options, and discusses them with you. Would have no hesitation in recommending.
