I had already done my homework by checking out the available consultant surgeons to perform my hip replacement and approved by my health care provider. I was impressed with his profile and was very pleased to be his patient. Despite cardiology difficulties, which caused a lengthy delay to the actual surgery, Mr Pearce was able to accommodate an early revised surgery date to fit in with my own calendar. The operation was very successful and I am pleased to say that my recovery is ahead of schedule and after six weeks I am back in the gym, and already achieving sixty per cent capability against my normal demanding programme. I am also driving as normal without any impediment. Mr Pearce signed me off after six weeks and I am now looking forward to an early full recovery.
