From my first appointment with Mr Ellis he gave me the confidence to go ahead with my knee replacement operation at One Ashford. At every meeting he listened to my concerns and explained everything in understandable language. The hospital stay was made easier by the helpful friendly team who looked after me. I was able to have follow up appointments until we were both happy that I was ready to be discharged. Whilst recovery has been a long, slow process, as expected, I am now more mobile than before the operation. I was very grateful to receive frequent physio appointments which were very supportive and encouraging.

I saw Mr Ellis at KIMS hospital after several years of feeling ver let down and passed from pillar to post by previous consultants. He was a breath of fresh air to me and listened to my explanation of the problems with my knees. I feel like he’s the first person to understand how it has affected me. He sent me straight for xrays as I hadn’t had any done under the NHS for years. He is a very gentle spoken man and explained the treatment I needed in a way I could understand and where I needed to be for a knee replacement. He and his team have given me hope for a better quality of life into the future and I thank them and him.

I was recommended to Mr Ellis by my local GP after x-rays and MRI scans on my knee showed soft tissue damage that was not responding to cortisone injection so needed surgery. He explained every step of the operation and answered any concerns I had. The follow up consolations have been great with each step of the recovery explained and checked to make sure all is as it should be. I found Mr Ellis and his team superb and friendly as well as very skilled they can turn medical speak to something in normal english. Also the rest of the staff at Kim's hospital are very helpful and highly recommend using any of their services.

I met Mr Ellis for my follow-up appointment on 7 November 2019. Once again he charming, down to earth and demonstrated his extensive knowledge in this field of surgery. Mr Ellis explained my current recovery position and what I could expect over the coming months. He went on to ask me how I thought I was recovering and if I had any questions or concerns. Mr Ellis showed that he was both a good listener and that he was interested in my comments. I was discharged by mutual agreement back to the care of my GP. Thank you Mr Ellis for my treatment.

After been seen at various hospitals in the past I can honestly say Kim's hospital and all the people that work there deserve all the praise that can be given, I found Mr Ellis and his team outstanding, from the start of my diagnosis to the final operation and the follow up care is second to none. All the staff involved at the hospital are so caring and polite and I would recommend anyone needing to see a consultant and for treatment to use the facilities that this hospital can provide, I hope if I have any further problems in my life I can seek the help of Kim's hospital, many thanks to you all.
