I first met Mr Simon Ellis last year when he performed surgery to repair a meniscus tear on my left knee. This went very well until it failed again at work mainly due to degenerative arthritis, which Mr Ellis did warn to expect at the time. Not being able to work and run my business again, I was quickly seen again by Simon resulting in replacement surgery in March this year. My knee is now strong and working well and I am back to running my business which requires a high level of physical activity. On every occasion I’ve been struck by Simon Ellis’s professional and personal skills. His professional skills are excellent enough, but what makes Mr Ellis so different is his personal manner, very clearly explaining every single aspect and detail of the treatment and procedure ahead and after surgery. Also the continuing help he offers at the moment through his virtual clinic. No surgery is a pleasant experience, but Simon goes out of his way to reduce the mystery and fear of the experience including the ability to answer any questions you have with clarity and kindness. He almost makes you feel he’s a family member. In this, he is up there among the best medical professionals. I can’t thank you enough.

Mr. Ellis was excellent, he let explain all the problems, he was empathetic and listened to all I had to say. He understood my problem and his advice was excellent and clear to understand. He didn't seems rushed and his recommendations were excellent. Mr Ellis showed his professionalisms, I truly recommend him. Thanks a lot Mr Ellis for you advice and support.

Mr Ellis very kindly helped me out with a long and in depth video call (due to Coronavirus) for some issues I was having with my knees. He not only managed to guide me through some assessments so I could clearly describe the pain and where it was felt but also provided me with an initial diagnosis and several steps to help alleviate the pain myself while waiting for a scan. He answered all my questions, set my mind at rest and the steps suggested are already helping to alleviate the pain. Thank you so much

I would like to thank Mr. Ellis and his team for the operation and aftercare on my right knee. It was painful at first as I could only take paracetamol after leaving the hospital but soon became more mobil with the help physiotherapy, I am now walking again without pain and can't wait for the left one to be done. Once again thank you Mr Ellis.

Thank you so much for this feedback. I'm delighted that you have recovered so well. At the moment with the current situation predicting when we may be able to carry out your left knee replacement is rather tricky. For the time being keep mobile and I look forward to looking after you in the very near future. With kind regards, Simon Ellis

May 2020 saw my third contact with Mr Ellis. I’ll never forget this kindness and understanding of a situation I found myself in three years ago. I had a fall on ice in the garden, my left knee was a mess. The following day, my daughter in South Africa was bitten by a snake and was in ICU. My knee was so bad that the airlines would not allow me to fly without getting the OK from a doctor. I remember Mr Ellis saying to me ‘You need to be with your daughter and it’s my job to make sure that happens’ and he literally pulled out all the stops and worked miracles to get me fit enough to travel, albeit on crutches but at least I was able to reach my daughter. This month I had need to contact Mr Ellis again. It was a Sunday but I emailed him in desperation, feeling very scared and in pain but due to the Covid 19, was unsure who to go to for help. This lovely gentleman took the time at 23:15 to reply to my email and follow that up with a telephone conversation in the morning. He then put in place the motions for ensuring I was seen in hospital immediately. Mr Ellis is the one person I trust implicitly with my messed up knees! His manner and professionalism and understanding is one in a million.

Thank you very much for leaving this very kind review. I have to say it was very fortuitous that I opened my email so late at night! Your trust in me is very humbling. I do wish you all the best for a very speedy recovery particularly in these difficult times. With kind regards, Simon Ellis
