Whilst playing football my 21 year old son suffered a grade 3 tear his MCL , which required reconstructive surgery. Fortunately we were pointed in the direction of Mr Ellis. From the very first appointment Mr Ellis was brilliant. He listened to my sons concerns and needs, as a footballer requiring prompt and affective treatment in order for him to return to playing as soon as possible. Mr Ellis explained every option in a way we could understand. We never felt rushed or hurried in any way. The operation and subsequent treatment was first class. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Ellis to anyone. A very Talented and companionate man.

Surprised to receive such a warm welcome. Mr Ellis took time in explaining what was causing the problems with my knee and put forward the various options which were available. I felt completely relaxed with him and although I am preparing myself for the operation with a certain amount of trepidation, feel very confident that I will receive the very best attention.

All too often surgeons are happy to rip you open - not Mr Ellis. Although I ruptured my PCL he offered me the opportunity to try and strengthen my knee without surgical intervention. I took this option, but ultimately his skills were required. As others have said, he explains the options, the procedures, expected results and the fact that it is a team effort to get the right result - the patient must also be prepared to put in the hard work pre and post surgery. He doesn't treat you as a job, but as a person who needs his help. Thank you Mr Ellis for your part in helping me recover - now it's up to me. But I promise I won't ski again!

Thank you very much for taking the time to review your experience under my care, it is much appreciated. Working as a surgeon it is very important recognizing when not to operate just as much as knowing when to proceed. Every patient requires a personalized approach. I am pleased that you are recovering well and understand that there is no substitue for following the rehabilitation. with kind regards Simon Ellis

Dr Simon Ellis was my first choice of surgeon for my arthroscopy having performed a successful ACL Reconstruction on my other knee in 2011. He is extremely professional and thorough, explains exactly what is wrong and what surgery is required. The team at KIMS Hospital were outstanding and I had complete confidence in a successful outcome.
