This is the second time I have seen Mr Ellis for the same problem. I can not praise high enough, how easy it is to talk with Mr Ellis and he listens, explains and take his time with you. IHAVE full confidence that after my procedure, I will be fighting fit.

My 15 year old daughter and I visited Mr Ellis last night regarding her on-going pain in both knees. My daughter was anxious as to what Mr Ellis might say regarding her ability to continue dancing. I have to say, both my daughter and I were extremely reassured by the very thorough examination he carried out on both knees. At this point in the process, we are waiting for an MRI scan (Friday) and the results due back for Monday's appointment, so I am unable to comment further at this stage. Aimee and I spoke in length after we left the Hospital and she feels more reassured that things are now progressing more positively. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Ellis as he spoke to Aimee as an adult and reassured her that her problem will be sorted. To quote Aimee "Well he's a nice guy, I like him".

Thank you for taking the time to write this review and particularly to Aimee for her specific input. Whenever one sees a young adult it is important to ensure that I listen carefully to what they say because as a parent it is all to easy to take over and speak for your offspring. It is only by listening carefully to the patient's own description of the problem that one is able to unravel the picture fully. I look forward to seeing you soon with the results of the imaging and taking the plan forward. With kind regards Simon Ellis

I was advised by a close friend, who is a former patient of Mr Ellis, to see him regarding a painful and debilitating knee issue that has severely restricted my mobility for some months. Visits to my GP proved pretty fruitless and the whole process is so drawn out and lacking any real sense of urgency. None of which has been helpful or uplifting. What a difference it was going to see Mr Ellis. From the moment I walked (painfully) in to see him, he was friendly, welcoming, informative and supportive. I am now looking forward to having corrective surgery in just seven days time! What a totally different experience. I can't recommend Mr Ellis highly enough. I would urge anybody going through what I have endured for the past six months to make an appointment as soon as possible... It is so obvious that Mr Ellis's reputation as the 'go to' knee surgeon is well deserved. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.....

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this glowing review. I am honoured indeed. In my experience making the right choice for each patient is all about listening carefully to the history ensuring that this is clearly understood and then reviewing all the appropriate investigations and putting this together with the clinical examination to reach the right conclusions to allow a clear explanation and then joint decision making. I look forward to continuing your care into a speedy recovery. With kind regards Simon Ellis

I have had a problem with my knee for some years now, relating from an old football injury. I am now 55 and finding the weakening of my knee more regular. I whent to my Dr's who referred me, I asked for the spire at walderslade as close to me. I had my first consultation with Mr Ellis who then asked for an X-ray and an MRI scan, on my results consultation with Mr Ellis he had found that in actual fact i had ruptured my cruciate ligament, (possibly from my original injury)with some arthritis starting to form. Mr Ellis explained what he could do in depth, and gave me severall different options, i think he could see the look on my face when talking about surgery, as i have never had to go under the knife as yet. However he made me feel very comfortable and explained everything to me, with no pressure, to the fact that i can book my appointment for surgery and if i decide not to go through with it then i can cancel any time up to the week of the surgery. Mr Ellis makes you feel very comfortable in a not so nice situation.

Thank you for your kind review. I am pleased that I gave you confidence and felt comfortable. The thought of surgery can be very daunting however providing the knowledge and understanding the problem can help a great deal. Ensuring the patient feels under no pressure at all is very important. I look forward to providing whatever ongoing care is right for you. With kind regards Simon Ellis

I recently saw Mr Ellis regarding both of my knees which are very painful. I was very wary about surgery as I have very little experience of hospitals and he put me completely at ease, explained everything very clearly and answered all my questions thoroughly. He is a true gentleman and very professional in his manner. It was only my first consultation and I feel very happy about events from here on in regarding my surgery with Mr Ellis.
