I recently retired as a nurse in general practice. I am extremely fussy about the health care I expect and Mr. Ellis totally fulfills my expectations. I would recommend him to anyone.

Mr Ellis was recommended to me by my physiotherapist. I had been suffering with knee issues for sometime, made worse by a fall on the stairs last year. I found Mr Ellis polite, professional and welcoming. He quickly organised an MRI scan and a follow up consultation during which he explained in full the findings of the scan and made recommendations to hopefully avoid surgery for some while. During the consultations he took time to make sure i understood fully the diagnosis and recommendations. Nothing was rushed. In summary - A lovely gentleman, professional, knowledgable and caring. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to family and friends.

Thank you very much for your review and comments. Often as surgeons we are perceived as keen to operate however making the correct choice involves avoiding surgery where possible. With kind regards Simon Ellis

I had a total knee replacement at KIMS hospital at the end of November 2017 and from my first consultation with Mr. Ellis, his friendly and inclusive manner gave me great confidence in his ability to give me a positive outcome to my operation. Every question and worry was answer and explained, not only to me but to my wife as well. While l was in the hospital he visited me several times, before and after the operation, keeping me informed and updating the family on my progress and at every post op. check up he reassured me that all was going well when l was worried about my progress. I would like to thank Mr.Ellis for all the care and attention he gave me and l would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone needing knee surgery. I will be booking in to see him in the near future for surgery on my other knee that also requires replacing. Ian McCaffrey

I have had a total knee joint replacement. I am still getting a fair degree of pain 6 weeks after the procedure. Mr Ellis has examined the area thoroughly and I hope to see him again in about 2 weeks. I am continuing with my exercise regime and hopefully when I see him next it will be with a with some lessening in pain and more normality of the joint.

Thank you for writing your review. Your experience following knee replacement of persistent pain at the six week stage is well recognized. Knee replacement continues to improve for a year following surgery usually with a steady improvement in both symptoms and function. Clinical review is important to ensure that there is no underlying concern and once this has been excluded then pushing forward with exercise and physiotherapy is essential to promote ongoing recovery. With kind regards Simon Ellis
