The consultant, Mr Ellis was very approachable and helpful with all the questions that I asked him. He is such a credit to the medical profession. I felt that I wasn't 'just a number' and that he had my well being at heart. I now feel confident to go ahead with the operation. The appointment was a good experience and although I haven't had the knee replacement done yet, I have every confidence in him that he will do his best for me. The staff at the hospital were very professional and helpful which in turn made me feel at ease. All in all I had a good experience and I now feel ready to have the operation so that I can get more mobile and get on with my life. Thank you.

Thank you very much for this kind review. I hold the well-being of every patient at the heart of their consultation. To each patient seeing a new doctor is a daunting experience which I attempt to make as positive as possible allowing patients to feel at ease. I will indeed do my best for your future care. With kind regards Simon Ellis

I twisted my knee which swelled up and I could barely walk without crutches. I cannot praise enough the professionalism and efficiency of Mr Ellis and his personnel assistants. His personnel assistants promptly arranged the MRI which was difficult as KIMs and Spire Alexandra were nearly fully booked. Then a few days later Mr Ellis diagnosed my knee, removed the fluid and gave me a steroid injection. The follow up Letter for physiotherapy was received by the KIMS hospital physiotherapy team within 24 hours and the letter to my GP summarising the diagnosis and treatment applied was sent within 2 days of the treatment which is very efficient. I started physiotherapy 2 days after the steroid injection and can already walk reasonably well. I previously had a knee arthroscopy with Mr Ellis in 2015 which was also very successful and handled in the same efficient way. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Ellis for any knee problems. I cannot think of any suggestion to improve the treatment I received. Even calls to Mr Ellis's personal assistants are answered promptly without going through phone menus.

Mr Simon Ellis is a very pleasant man who makes you feel at ease when you have a medical problem that needs operating on and goes a long way in explaining the procedure that has to be done to correct the problem. I have not had my knee replacement operation as yet so cannot compliment him as much as I would like to at this stage but I have every confidence in him and that the medical problem will be solved.
