Mr Ellis first saw me in April 2018 at KIMS ,Maidstone, where I had been referred for Osteoarthritis of the knees. He was extremely thorough in his work up for my procedure & very clear in his explanation of my planned operation (TKR) On a subsequent consultation he was patient & clearly explained my condition, planned operation & expected recovery. Mr Ellis helped allay my anxiety regarding my surgery. My experience at KIMS has,to date, been exemplary.

Thank you very much indeed for your kind review. Making the right choice for each patient is essential. Knee replacement is a life event for each patient and in my experience explaining the plan clearly in understandable terms helps to allay the anxiety. I will pass your comments about your experience at KIMS to the management team. Please rest assured in my experience the in-patient care at KIMS is excellent too. With kind regards

I originally had an appointment with Mr Ellis 18 months ago, and found him very professional and gentlemanly. After an X-Ray and inspection of my right knee he suggested I continued with the Naproxin and Iburofen gel but also sought an Osteopath. I heeded his advice and until a few months ago all was well but now the pain is not good. I had a further appointment last Monday and again an X-Ray was taken and inspection of the movement in my knee, and Mr Ellis ran through the options open to me. We agreed that a full knee replacement was necessary as the joints were touching, and an appointment was made for the operation.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post this review and sharing your experience with others. Deciding the time to carry out surgical treatment for knee arthritis is a difficult one. Initially conservative treatment with increasing painkillers and regular exercise is helpful but sadly over time the symptoms increase hence your need for surgery now. The most important decision for me is tailoring the right treatment for each patient. With kind regards Simon Ellis

I saw Mr Ellis 2 years ago regarding my knees and again more recently, I felt totally at ease and everything regarding results and my pending operation were explained fully and understandable. I am glad Mr Ellis has given me the option of a knee replacement even though I am only 48, my quality of life can only get better once this has been done so I'm grateful (and nervous!!)
