Mr Ellis gave me the best possible care that I could ask for, he is very thorough and very professional but most of all not aloof, as some professionals can be, but very open and sincere. he made me feel like I was his only patient and made the whole process far more bearable.. thank you

Mr Ellis from the very first consultation was professional and caring, as were all his staff to the end with the physiotherapy in the gym at KIMS. To give an example, after three weeks after the operation I saw the physiotherapist, who was somewhat concerned with the swelling and colour of my scar. So a nurse was called in and immediately said it would be advisable to have a blood test, but rang Mr Ellis to see if he was available. After a few minutes Mr Ellis arrived in his operating attire and reassured me that it was very likely only a concentration of blood and fluid, but to have a blood test to be sure. After four days I had an appointment to see Mr Ellis in his office, who said the result of the blood test showed there was no infection, and on examination of my knee he reassured me the swelling was down and the colour of my skin fine.First class treatment, thank you.

Mr Ellis is extremely thorough. He takes the time to gather a full history and asks questions to ensure he has all the facts. He then examines you and explains everything he is doing and what he is finding during the physical examination - this is very reassuring as sometimes you visit consultants and you've no idea what they're doing or what they're looking for and you end up feeling out of the loop. He explains his findings and the consequences of these and then leads on to how he or his colleagues (physios etc) can help your symptoms improve. He provides the best and worst case results to so that you have a clear idea of the situation. You then receive a very detailed letter dictated by him - this is great because you don't always take in all the information whilst you're in the room. I would recommend Mr Ellis highly. I can see why everyone has such high praise for his manner and patience during the consultation and you can see his passion of his work.

Mr Ellis was very clear in explaining everything entailed in my ACL knee surgery and would always take the time to answer all my questions throughly. My experience and the hospital was very positive and I felt in very safe hands with Mr Ellis. My knee is recovering very well and from the moment I put weight on it, (straight after surgery), I knew that surgery had been the very best option. My knee now feels strong and I can’t wait to get back to the sports I love after my recovery.
