Dear Simon, I should like to thank you very much for the wonderful quality of care you afforded me, from your initial consultation through to my recent total knee replacement surgery, and afterwards. Throughout, I always felt you were treating me as a whole person, taking my feelings and natural anxieties into account and ensuring that my questions and queries were answered in terms I understood. On the day of my surgery you were very reassuring beforehand and afterwards, and it was good of you to call my wife before and after my surgery, for which she was grateful and, like me, she felt very reassured. And as for the surgery itself, this has provided me with the ability to do things I had not been able to do for a long time, and I am so grateful to have this back.
