As a patient of Mr. Banwell I was faced with the overwhelming reality of the serious illness I had, however from our first consultation it was clear that he reassured me an gave me the confidence to make the right choices on the course I should take to continue my treatment. During the past 22 months I have had regular contact with Mr Banwell to monitor my progress and he always had the ability to build my confidence and put my needs first. Looking back I feel how lucky I was during a critical time in my life that I had someone of Mr. Banwell Professional skills and ability to guide me through this difficult time.

Mr Banwell performed my Breast reconstruction Surgery, with a reduction to my other Breast, in November 2017, following a diagnosis of Breast Cancer. From the onset he treated me with respect and compassion, while being open and honest regarding expectations. He spoke earnestly without patronising, which at a very difficult time, where important, life changing decisions are needed, made the whole process a lot easier. Pre Surgery saw appointments with Mr Banwell himself and often he would be accompanied by Registrars whom he was happy to continually pass on his extensive knowledge to, to ensure the best possible outcomes, both Aesthetically and with minimal discomfort. Post Surgery and once again he visited me several times in person on the ward, with advice to myself and ward staff to make sure of a continued, speedy recovery. He has strict and different views regarding post surgery care to that of other patients under different consultants, however I am more that happy with the results and how my recovery has progressed. I do not feel I have been rushed off his books, and continue under his care for continuing minor treatment.

I was under Miles for a mastectomy and reconstruction. He was very caring and helped me through all the surgery explaining everything along the way. I am very happy with the end result and feel that I am still the same person that I was before the operation.

Miles was my surgeon for a breast reconstruction in March 2017. He has been absolutely great through the whole process. From explaining in detail what to expect from the operation, the recovery process, and the after care. He has answered any questions that I may have had, and I am very happy with the final results.
