From the moment I was told I had breast cancer, my journey has been a scary one. Miles Banwell and I were first introduced to each other on my first appointment with him as my plastic surgeon. Somebody my Oncologist thinks very highly of. During this appointment Miles explained the whole procedure from beginning to end, offering a couple of options. I chose the route of reconstruction straight away, if all went to plan whilst I slept. On the day of surgery Miles came to see me, he chatted and drew lots of lines on my body to show where the work was going to happen. He, again went over the procedure, put my mind at ease and made me feel comfortable with what was about to happen. After surgery I saw Miles again, it was day 3/4 and I was very tearful. He put a smile back on my face and I felt more determined to continue the recovery in the knowledge that all was going very well. On all of my appointments Miles made me feel good about my surgery. He has done a fabulous job and I would encourage anybody to seek him out in this field of expertise. A great surgeon, with an impeccable bedside manner.
