I was seen by Mr Spink on 12,1,16 this man is a gentleman in every sence of the word not only is he a fantastic surgeon he is kind he listens to you explains everything and cares, you never feel rushed. I would recommend him to anyone with spinal problems

A very friendly and efficient surgeon who made me feel very welcome and important. His mannerisms are impeccable and I truly felt looked after. He is just all around a very nice man who clearly works very hard and is great at what he does.

Mr Spink discussed my condition with me and explained all available treatment options to my satisfaction. He answered all my questions and also gave me his contact details, so that I could contact him if my condition deteriorated.

From the moment I met Mr Spink I was impressed with his professional care and attention. His manner is very warm. He was very careful to explain all the options open to me and put no pressure on me. The 4 hour PLIF op went very well and I was amazed at how quickly I was out of pain - within a fortnight I was walking 4 miles and driving. Being out of pain I realised how I'd been living with low-level back pain for about 30 years. This last episode of back pain and excruciating sciatic pain made it almost impossible to work. Had this operation not been performed so well I truly believe that I would have had to give up work (not a happy future when you're only 61!) It is no exaggeration to say that I feel as if I've been given my life back. Mr Spink was recommended to me by my physiotherapist and I have recommended him to a neighbour who has also been helped by Mr Spink's intervention. Everyone - family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, all can see the huge change in my mobility and in my pain-free expression. Mr Spink is a real asset to the Hull and East Yorkshire Health NHS Trust and the people in our region. I can never thank him enough.

This doctor is excellent,kind and caring I am totally pain free for the first time in four years due to his exceptional surgical skills. I would recommend him very highly to anyone.After trying many other avenues Mr Spink comes out on top for me ten out of ten.Dont know how the team could improve to give a better service it was first class.
