Listened to all my concerns about the ACDF Proceedure I was about to under go - As one would expect but it was the small things that made the difference as well - I am a paraplegic due to a climbing accident many years ago, I explained my worries about the risks of pressure.sores during the Operation, Becoming cold in post Op, etc - Mr Spink told me exactly how the operation would go and how he would reduce ANY risk of pressure sores, reduce the risk of being cold post-operation, etc. I have to say I have never been so relaxed in going into the Operation Theatre. I cannot rate Mr Spink highly enough, a consummate Proffessional who has that special little extra...... If you are dealing with this Neurosergeon then you are in very safe hands .

Having spent many months being passed from one doctor to another within the NHS I was finally recommended to see Mr Spink. He provided a clear and detailed analysis of my symptoms and explained in simple terms the options available to improve my condition. He was very articulate and well mannered but more particularly he gave me a great deal of confidence in his competency with regard to the surgery I required. The surgery went very well and his after care was excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending this highly skilled neurosurgeon.

Mr Spink examined me and showed me the MRI. He explained all the options, along with possible complications in a friendly manner. After the operation, he explained how it had gone and visited daily, checking how I was doing. On the follow up, he showed me the X-ray with the inserted framework etc. and explained how to continue. He discharged me but said to ring his secretary directly if there were any problems. I found Mr Spink to be very courteous and helpful and judging by the results (no pain) an excellent surgeon. I would definitely recommend him.

I have been a patient of Mr Spink for over two years. He operated on me twice and both times I had great confidence in his expertise. A very caring man with an excellent way of explaining your problems and the plus and minus of treatments. You are always at the centre of his attention when talking to him and he does not fob you off with excuses. In my words, he is a brilliant surgeon and I would highly recommend him.
