I found Mr.Spink to be an excellent consultant who gave time for me to dictate my not inconsiderable spinal problems history both in his specialised area and other spinal areas I have trouble with. He listened and had obviously read my historical notes which sadly does not always happen with some medical appointments. He asked about current problems in detail then explained about past scan results and future needs for further MRI scans which he would order. He said he would also write to my GP about the need for a neurological consultation and my current and future position. In short I was extremely happy with my treatment and the knowledge about my problem which he gave me.

Gave me a very clear diagnosis and a clear explanation of what it meant and what was required to treat my problem. Examination carried out and was empathetic

Talked about my sciatica. Me Spink listened and was very empathetic. We reviewed my MRI scans and he carefully explained the issues I had with my lower back. The only issue I had is the lack of detailed discussion about the options going forward. I would have liked to discuss the options .... as my back is still painful and I don’t really feel that I’ve made any progress. Maybe this was my fault for not explaining fully what impact the sciatica was having on my life.
