Had a trapeziectomy with mr talawadekar and im very happy with the results.From my first consultation I was put at ease and the surgery was discussed in detail.Mr talawadekar is one of the nicest person you could ever meet.I highly recommend him.

I recently had a subacromial decompression of my left shoulder performed by Mr Gautam Talawadekar. He had treated me with injections for 2 years prior to this surgery.
My experience has been nothing but positive. If you're looking for a consultant that is patient, is prepared to listen, that is professional but friendly, really positive but measured in his approach, then I would definitely recommend Gautam.
Honestly he's just a really nice bloke, but also the professional that you want to perform your surgery. On the day of my surgery I was asked if I was nervous by my sister who was taking me to the hospital, and my answer was 'no, not at all'. I can pay him no greater compliment.
He managed my condition for a couple of years, and I'd consider him a friend because he was so good to me, not sure how he'd feel about that...
My shoulder is recovering well, and I'm very happy with my choice of consultant. Again, he's a really top bloke and I'm grateful to the care and attention he has shown me.
Good luck Gautam, keep going, I hope you can help lots more people in the future. Keep smiling and change nothing.

Mr T performed a Trapeziectomy on my right hand almost 3 weeks ago. I knew I was in constant pain but until the operation was performed didn’t appreciate quite how much! Now, not quite 3 weeks on, I am pain free, sleeping better and feeling generally better in myself.
Mr T offered excellent advice, clearly delivered, answered all my questions and respected my request for a block rather than a general anaesthetic.
He performed the op with great care and expertise and I couldn’t be happier with the result! If you need a Trapeziectomy then given my experience I would suggest that Mr T is your man.
Thank you so much for giving me back a pain free existence, I can’t begin to say how much I appreciate your expertise and care!

I have been under the care of Mr Talawadekar for 11 months. From his initial diagnosis to surgery he has been able to help me understand what and why has been the issues I haves experienced shoulder pain. Through the cortisone injections he directly pinpointed what surgery was required, he is obviously a leading expert in this field.
I thank him as my ability to enjoy many sports and daily activities are now pain free.

Introduction:
After completing Orthopaedic training in the UK, Mr. Talawadekar undertook Fellowship training in shoulder, elbow hand/wrist and sports surgery in the UK and Canada.
He currently works as Orthopaedic Consultant with special interest in Upper Limb Surgery at the University Hospitals of Morcambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. He has been an Orthopaedic Consultant since 2016. Majority of his work involves Shoulder and Elbow surgery with the rest involving Hand and Wrist. He also perform general orthopaedic trauma surgeries.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Tr&Orth) and the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is actively involved in research with multiple National and International presentations and publications in peer reviewed journals and is the Principle investigator for some National Research Projects, at his trust.
He is also a keen trainer and junior doctor educator, and was awarded 'Teacher of the year' award. He is an accredited faculty with the AO foundation, a prime worldwide organisation that deals with trauma care. He is the College Tutor and is responsible for surgical training at the Furness General Hospital.
He is a member of British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS) and British Indian Orthopaedic Society (BIOS).
