The injury which I was treated for was a broken wrist, featuring a comminuted radius fracture and a styloid ulnar fracture. I am led to believe that the radius fracture was extremely challenging to fix. Mr Talawadekar operated on my wrist and reduced the fracture using a plate and a K Wire. The K Wire was subsequently removed. I'm unqualified to comment on the standard of the surgery, however, from my point of view it was excellent. When the complicated nature of the injury was first explained to me, I was extremely concerned about the uncertain prospect of recovery. It's still early days, but I'm pleased to say that the surgery performed by Mr Talawadekar has caused my injury to heal faster and better than it was initially expected to. When Mr Talawadekar spoke with me, he was extremely kind, caring and professional. He listened, answered all of my questions, and gave me good advice. I am especially grateful for the time he took to explain the treatment and show me the x ray images. I have no suggestions regarding improvement. The treatment I received from Mr Talawadekar was absolutely first class in every respect.

I came in with a broken clavical after playing rugby. I was back in fracture clinic a week later when I was referred to Mr Talawadekar's clinic. He informed me of the reasons they would normally perform surgery on a clavical but that mostly it repairs itself. After x-ray Mr Talawadekar was very truthful and said he couldn't guarantee it would heal with or without surgery and when asked gave me his honest opinion with going ahead with the surgery. I was asked to come in over the weekend on the Saturday in the hope to have the surgery then, unfortunately, due to emergency operations it looked as if this wouldn't be the case, Mr Talawadekar came to see me numerous times during this time as he was doing his very best to try and squeeze me in. I came back on the Sunday and had the surgery and could not have asked for better care from all the team and ward 1 staff!! My follow up appointments have been insightful and he has given me exercises to improve my collarbone and shoulder flexibility and I couldn't have been happier with my care and the information I was given and would highly recommend to anyone.

I am 87 years old and Mr. Talawadekar performed an elbow replacement which relieved severe pain I had for over a year. His care was superb and the hospital staff at Furness Hospital was uniformly excellent. I would recommend him to anyone and certainly give him a five star rating.

Mr Talawadaker took on my case which was an open compound fracture of my right elbow following a fall from a wall. His surgical skills are clearly excellent and he was very sympathetic at all times and was at pains to explain to me the treatment and prognosis. I met with him on many occasions post operation and he was unfailingly cheerful and caring. I am very pleased to say that my bones have healed well and my expectations have been exceeded in terms of the extent of free movement I now enjoy. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others.
