Mr Talawadekar diagnosed my torn cartilage even though it wasn't clear on the scan, his treatment has completely cured me and I have been back climbing and mountain biking for some months now. I also had a trigger finger which he cured at the same time.

It took a long long time.... between initial diagnosis & the operation, other than that, everything was first class and a credit to the NHS and medical profession.

What can I say. From the first appointment, he put me at ease. His manner, personality & reassurance about the procedure (distal bicep tendon rupture) I was to have was exemplary. I have just visited him two weeks after my operation and it was a pleasure to meet him again. What a surgeon and what a gentleman.

Mr Talawadekar is a pleasure to meet, he is very friendly and communicative, giving very clear information regarding the details, treatment and after care concerning the condition being treated. I genuinely get the impression that he is held in very high regard by his colleagues. I felt complete confidence in Mr Talawadekar's expertise and abilities and consider him a credit to his profession his field and the N.H.S.

Introduction:
After completing Orthopaedic training in the UK, Mr. Talawadekar undertook Fellowship training in shoulder, elbow hand/wrist and sports surgery in the UK and Canada.
He currently works as Orthopaedic Consultant with special interest in Upper Limb Surgery at the University Hospitals of Morcambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. He has been an Orthopaedic Consultant since 2016. Majority of his work involves Shoulder and Elbow surgery with the rest involving Hand and Wrist. He also perform general orthopaedic trauma surgeries.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Tr&Orth) and the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is actively involved in research with multiple National and International presentations and publications in peer reviewed journals and is the Principle investigator for some National Research Projects, at his trust.
He is also a keen trainer and junior doctor educator, and was awarded 'Teacher of the year' award. He is an accredited faculty with the AO foundation, a prime worldwide organisation that deals with trauma care. He is the College Tutor and is responsible for surgical training at the Furness General Hospital.
He is a member of British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS) and British Indian Orthopaedic Society (BIOS). He was awarded Certificate of Excellence from iWantGreatCare, a patient review website, after becoming one of their most highly and consistently recommended clinicians by patients treated under his care.
