Mr Talawadekar from the first moment, listened to me carefully and offered help straight away.
Firstly with a cortisone injection in my shoulder
then with surgery.
He explained every very carefully before and after surgery. The surgery has been a 100% successful and I trusted him completely.
I am very grateful to him for listening to me when for so long nobody did, especially because my symptoms were not text book symptoms and I had good movement in my shoulder but a lot of pain.
I am looking forward to pain free future.

Did an excellent job of my keyhole operation for frozen shoulder release. Excellent Spire care from the entire staff. The food was delicious. Dr Talawadekar took his time to explain my procedure and after care with physio therapy fully and in great detail and asked if I had any questions.

Underwent total shoulder replacement by Mr Talawadekar on 16/3/21. The need for this procedure was explained to me in a detailed and courteous manner with all questions answered in a clear and accessible manner. Twelve weeks on I am now pain free with significantly increased range of movement and function in my right shoulder. Introduction:
After completing Orthopaedic training in the UK, Mr. Talawadekar undertook Fellowship training in shoulder, elbow hand/wrist and sports surgery in the UK and Canada.
He currently works as Orthopaedic Consultant with special interest in Upper Limb Surgery at the University Hospitals of Morcambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. He has been an Orthopaedic Consultant since 2016. Majority of his work involves Shoulder and Elbow surgery with the rest involving Hand and Wrist. He also perform general orthopaedic trauma surgeries.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Tr&Orth) and the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is actively involved in research with multiple National and International presentations and publications in peer reviewed journals and is the Principle investigator for some National Research Projects, at his trust.
He is also a keen trainer and junior doctor educator, and was awarded 'Teacher of the year' award. He is an accredited faculty with the AO foundation, a prime worldwide organisation that deals with trauma care. He is the College Tutor and is responsible for surgical training at the Furness General Hospital.
He is a member of British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS) and British Indian Orthopaedic Society (BIOS).
