At my initial appointment Mr. Talawadekar treated me with the greatest courtesy, listening to my problems, leading to a thorough investigation of the source of my pain. My arthritic joint required treatment by xray assisted injection in theatre. Locating the injection site was carried out with great care, and he explained the process in great detail throughout, including what discomfort level to expect during the injection procedure. I was also given a comprehensive, but guarded, prognosis for the future. The outcome was unbelievable. I have gone 2 months now without the need for pain relief. I cannot thank him enough.

I was referred to Mr. Talawadekar for a repair to my rotator cuff. I was told the options available and timescale. I was very happy with the consultation and everything was explained to me so I understood the procedure and recovery details. On the day of the operation Mr. Talawadekar visited me to reassure me and ask if I had any further questions. The follow up appointments were timely and I was given assistance to get the best out of the physiotherapy and my ultimate recovery. I would recommend Mr. Talawadekar.

I can not praise Mr Talawadekar and his staff enough. I had a Dupuytren’s Contracure on my little finger which was quite bad and the finger was getting in the way for doing things. I am very pleased with the results. Mr Talawadekar really cares about his patients and their treatment. His staff are caring and friendly. I was treated as an individual and not just a patient.

An absolute gentleman, Mr Talwadekar treated me for carpal tunnel syndrome. From my first meeting with him to my final consultation he put me at ease, explaining the procedure and operating successfully. I would recommend him as a first class consultant.

Introduction:
After completing Orthopaedic training in the UK, Mr. Talawadekar undertook Fellowship training in shoulder, elbow hand/wrist and sports surgery in the UK and Canada.
He currently works as Orthopaedic Consultant with special interest in Upper Limb Surgery at the University Hospitals of Morcambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. He has been an Orthopaedic Consultant since 2016. Majority of his work involves Shoulder and Elbow surgery with the rest involving Hand and Wrist. He also perform general orthopaedic trauma surgeries.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Tr&Orth) and the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is actively involved in research with multiple National and International presentations and publications in peer reviewed journals and is the Principle investigator for some National Research Projects, at his trust.
He is also a keen trainer and junior doctor educator, and was awarded 'Teacher of the year' award. He is an accredited faculty with the AO foundation, a prime worldwide organisation that deals with trauma care. He is the College Tutor and is responsible for surgical training at the Furness General Hospital.
He is a member of British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS) and British Indian Orthopaedic Society (BIOS).
