I recently had a subacromial decompression of my left shoulder performed by Mr Gautam Talawadekar. He had treated me with injections for 2 years prior to this surgery. My experience has been nothing but positive. If you're looking for a consultant that is patient, is prepared to listen, that is professional but friendly, really positive but measured in his approach, then I would definitely recommend Gautam. Honestly he's just a really nice bloke, but also the professional that you want to perform your surgery. On the day of my surgery I was asked if I was nervous by my sister who was taking me to the hospital, and my answer was 'no, not at all'. I can pay him no greater compliment. He managed my condition for a couple of years, and I'd consider him a friend because he was so good to me, not sure how he'd feel about that... My shoulder is recovering well, and I'm very happy with my choice of consultant. Again, he's a really top bloke and I'm grateful to the care and attention he has shown me.
