I have seen Mr Marley on several occasions pre and post my operation. Each time he has been a gentleman, very polite with a caring manner. He explained in detail the procedure that I would need and answered any questions that I might have had. The times that I have been to his clinics, at the hospital, I have never felt rushed even though he seems very busy. On the day of my operation I saw Mr Marley before and after and as always he was kind and reassuring. I would also like to add that he has a great team working for/along side him and the after care I have had has been second to none. Thank you Mr Marley and team.

18 months ago I had my ex-marines head on and loudly berated my 11-year old son Tommy for walking like a complete .... waddling duck. Following a number of Physiotherapist visits Tommy had an initial exam at the Royal Bolton Hospital. Mr Marley, after checking X-rays, told me that he immediately recognised 'SUFE hip' which is common in teenagers. It required immediate surgery. I asked what the waiting-time was - he replied 'Can you be here tomorrow morning, early?' Clearly it was urgent. Mr Marley subsequently operated on Tommy the following day, and inserted two pins in Tommy's hips. I cannot praise the surgical, nursing, and ancillary staff enough for the care and consideration extended to my wife and me. He's always cheerful (how does he do that?), always caring and ready to explain in as great a detail as needed what's happening, and how it will be fixed. This guy is seriously an example: He peer-reviews every decision, he spends time with us. Trust me - he's very very good, and I have no hesitation in trusting my son to him. I'm out of words on this, but - Tommy is running around now like the growing young man that he is. His Boxing and Rugby coaches are seriously impressed with the change in Tommy. Me - I'm just ashamed of myself. But, the saving grace for me is having had the privilege of Mr Marley's care. He sets a high example that as a father I try to follow, and will continue to emulate his level of care.

I felt totally at ease with Mr Marley both before & after my operation. He explained the procedure in detail & had no hesitation in assuring me that had there been any problems after the operation I could ring him at any time.I felt I had been in excellent hands.

Mr. Marley in association with Mr.Childs did a great job of the T.K.R. at the Royal Bolton. I was only in overnight which seemed a very short time for such major surgery but all was fine. During my follow up appointment Mr. Marley said how pleased he was with my progress which was due to the combination of a job well done and the adherence to the physio regime which was outlined to me before the operation. All in all it has been a fantastic team effort which made it seem ( to me) not as daunting as first thought.
