Mr Bodansky was truthful, serious and reassuring, making me feel positive about my recovery and next steps. All information provided to me was succinct, to the point, so I could understand my situation better.
Appointment was first meeting post op. Not sure if I had met doctor before. As meeting was at doctor’s request, would be good to start with an explanation of the purpose of the meeting, what he hopes to get out of it. Probably also good to start with simple medical terms and get more technical later as required. And explain terms and reasoning, don’t assume patient will understand (or at least ask what their level of understanding is). And if hoping to be a relatively short meeting, then maybe explain this at the beginning (even with prompt that this would be a good thing, even if the patient has been waiting). Doctor’s manner was calm, friendly, pleasant- just maybe a bit more explanation needed.
Dr David was incredible honest and helpful with his advice about my hand injury and the potential of foreign travel in a week’s time. He was very professional and had a comforting and trustworthy ‘bedside’ manner.
I was pleased with this Doctor and he was explaining really clear and reassuring me for everything.
I saw Mr Bodansky today at the Chelsea and Westminster hospital. Despite the clinic being very busy he was very relaxed and friendly. He talked through my recovery (six weeks post op) and was very clear and concise about what I needed to do going forward and about the potential outcomes or the chance of any complications going forward.
