I needed an arthroscopy to my left shoulder, and was referred to St Hughs and Mr Desai by the team at my NHS hospital.surgery was delayed as my diabetes was not well controlled, but as soon as my numbers were right, I was called, and a day for the surgery was set up. I cannot recommend or praise Mr Desai enough. He made sure I understood exactly what was going to be done, and what I could expect. Everything went very smoothly, and when he came to see me afterward, he explained that he'd done a little more than he'd expected to reduce the tightness and stiffness I'd been dealing with. I received the best possible care: and I can genuinely say that any pain I've experienced has been minimal in comparison to what it was prior to the surgery. I have so, so much more range of movement. I am immensely grateful to Mr Desai and his team for everything
