After falling and having a grade 4 separation of the shoulder ac joint my movement was very restricted despite physio. It was not improving at all. It was at this point that I went to see Mr Desai. He gave me a very thorough examination and asked lots of questions. He listened to what I was saying. He realised straight away that I had frozen shoulder on top of the injury which had previously been missed by others. He discussed all the options available to me and answered all my questions. I opted for an arthroscopic arthrolysis of shoulder contracture with Mr Desai at St Hughes followed by physio. There has been great improvement in my range of movement, nearly back to normal from being very restricted (30-50%). So happy that I had the operation and felt well looked after throughout.
