Mr Hewlett explains ev?,erything he is about to do, has done and what is necessary in the future. He listens carefully to any concerns you may have. I have found the whole of the Grantham Hospital staff extremely polite and efficient and there is no hanging about, everything is done on time. Quite frankly any problems that may arise in the future ccincerning family and friends GRantham would be the place I would choose. No hesitation!

What can I say about this man that would portray every thought, feelings and gratitude I and my family have for him. Mr Yewlett became my saviour on 9th September 2017 when he stepped into oversee my care and carry out my surgical procedure following a fall that resulted in an open fracture and dislocation of my hand from my wrist. At this time I had no knowledge or understanding of the seriousness of my injuries and that I was at risk of losing my hand due to the trauma I had experienced. This kind surgeon never gave me anything extra to worry about he calmly used his expertise to treat me. I cannot praise Mr Yewlett enough for his dedication to his work and patient care. He is clearly respected by his team and he saved my hand through his amazing skills and if I ever needed (which I hope and pray I won’t) to be seen by a surgeon in orthopaedic medicine again I would want him to treat me. Thank you is simply not enough, but I do thank you from the bottom of my heart.

After a very nasty fall whilst on holiday i was fortunate enough to find on my return to Grantham Hospital a newly appointed specialist shoulder consultant in Mr Alun Yewlett. I was taken into his care and he explained very clearly the extent of my complex injury and told me he could help me, he is easy to talk to and soon gave me the confidence to put myself in his capable hands, i was quite quickly into surgery and job done. The aftercare i received by mr Yewlett and all the nursing staff during my short stay in hospital was excellent, caring and made me feel at ease and i thank them all, my full recovery will take quite a while but i know i am in good hands at Grantham Hospital, nothing was too much trouble to them.
