I have been diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer at Royal Marsden Chelsea, and have been treated there by Miss Jennifer Rusby and her team. It was a totally unexpected challenging situation to me particularly during the backdrop of Covid restriction. However, I am truly impressed with the speed and thoroughness of the diagnostic process, actual treatment(surgery) and post operational care that I received by Miss Rusby’s team. All the breast surgeon, breast care nurse, staff nurse there were not only competent but kind and thoughtful. They addressed every single issues that I had( whether it was big or small) with professional efficiency, compassion and great speed. I believe this comes from Miss Rusby’s leadership and example. During all my consultations with Miss Rusby, I never felt like I was being rushed; from treatment options, post operation questions and care. No question was too small for Miss Rusby and this was not only extremely helpful but comforting to me. Her calm professional manner helped me to focus and cope with each decision I had to make, and the actual realization of being a cancer patient. I was thoroughly prepared by Miss Rusby what to expect from the treatment option I chose. Even when there was an unexpected post operative issue, Miss Rusby and her team addressed it with total competence and much care. I am very grateful to have been treated by Miss Rusby at Royal Marsden. I have no doubt there are many more patients who share my very positive experience.

As previous said, I was seen and operated by the wonderful Breast Cancer surgeon Ms Rusby back in Dec last year ( 2020), Ms Rusby helped me a great deal, she was extremely kind and professional with great empathy, I was able to relax and told her my home problems as I was nursing a very sick husband too. The mastectomy operation went very well , thank you Ms Rusby. I was out by the afternoon. The aftercare always taken seriously by Ms Rusby, no trouble was too much for her. I felt so blessed with her help. I must mention her Breast team admin fantastic Annette who worked tirelessly too to accommodate me and other patients. The 3 wonderful nurses of Ms Rusby were very helpful, they gave me the instructions as how to look after myself and a special bra , and the exercise I need to speed up my recovery. Huge thanks to all the staff at the Royal Marsden Hospital. I love you all. Ms Rusby is my hero, thank you Ms Rusby. I feel great.

Brest Cancer Surgery: Very fortunate to have followed the recommendation of my family in selecting The Royal Marsden Hospital for my cancer treatment. The treatment received with medical care was very professional and Dr.Rachel Ralph and Dr, J.E. Rusby did a fabulous job. Many thanks to Dr.Rachel for her very caring and courtious approach in explaining the results of the tests then followed by the surgery procedure and all the follow up consultancies.
