I first met Dr Kar whilst attending a meeting with a Neuro Surgeon at Southampton Genera Hospital. Dr Kar very kindly offered to take over my care in Portsmouth as that is where my home is. I have always been very happy attending the clinic with Dr Kar, he gets to know you as a person, remembers who you are before looking at his notes and listens to what you have to say. Appointments are always beneficial. Blood tests are arranged prior to my appointment so the results are available when I have my appointment with Dr Kar. When results are not 'normal' medications are adjusted and a follow-up appointment is arranged. Dr Kar He has also helped me when I had a serious medical problem, saw me and referred me to another department in the hospital. I have a lot of confidence in both Dr Kar and the specialist nurse - Jean Mundy and am extremely grateful for the care they both offer. What also gives you confidence is that both Dr Kar and Jean Mundy are very approachable, they both invite you to phone them if you have a problem, have always returned my calls. They also liaise with other departments that I have to attend i.e. Radiology at QA and Neurosurgical Department at Southampton so I feel that as a 'team' giving me treatment I get the very best..
