I have been on 2 occasions to have a fairly small procedure which needed sedation only and i have had Dr. Akotia both times and he immediately puts you at ease with his friendly personality and professional attitude. Everything was explained and i was back in my cubicle before i knew it even though i had been out for a few minutes. Clever!

Dr Akotia called me before my admission to hospital. He was so reassuring as I have had a stroke 18 months ago and had corners.
The next time I met him was pre op. He was so nice, caring and reassuring, then to the outer operating room. I am scared of needles, but he was marvellous, it never hurt, not even a bruise.
After my surgery both him and the surgeon were there. Yet again made me feel at ease about everything. I cannot speak highly enough of my treatment and my experience, and my sincere thanks for their expertise.

Dr Akotia looked after me excellently during my pre and post operation. He explained everything well and put me at ease. Very professional but with a relaxed manner which is nice when you are feeling uneasy about an operation and how you are going to feel after.
I was put at ease when Dr Akotia came into my room as I recognised him from my daughters surgery the previous year. I remembered him as he had given my daughter amazing care during her operation which from a parent perspective is so very important. Dr Akotia was really kind, friendly and made the whole procedure much more relaxed which is exactly what you need for children.
