The care i received from Dr Liz Kingston (Liz) was outstanding! From the very start being a phone call the day before my surgery to the very end of her shift i could not of asked to be cared for any better, quite simply an amazing doctor who is caring, friendly, someone you feel comfortable with. Days prior to my surgery i was nervous and very anxious about the whole thing, one of the main things was having general anaesthetic. From a previous experience it was something i was defiantly not looking forward to. Liz took her time listening to my reasons, then reassured me by explaining the options in a very understanding way. She was open to all questions and more than helpful. Although i work within the healthcare environment myself, it is noticeable that in alot of areas care is lacking recently, however from my experience it was just the opposite i could not complain about a single thing prior, during or after my surgery. Liz is an amazing doctor and an absolute credit to Whiston/the NHS. She is very enthusiastic about her job and genuinely cares for her patients, her engagement with all patients is amazing. I think the only constructive suggestion i could give is have more members of staff like Liz and the team that looked after me. Having a good team does so much for the patients especially during a strange unusual time.
Thank you so much for your feedback- it is really helpful to hear what aspects of care were most useful. I strongly believe that giving clear information and explaining what steps can be taken to improve safety can reduce worries. I am trying to speak to patients a day or so before planned procedures so they have time to think through the information and then ask any questions they want when they meet me in person, and your feedback seems to back up that approach too. Thank you for taking the time to leave such kind comments during your recovery- I hope you are doing well now.
Liz was so supportive and put me at ease during my treatment, she done a fantastic job at explaining everything from start to finish.
She also came round after surgery to make sure that I was ok.
She is fantastic at her job.
Thanks for your feedback- I’m glad I was able to put you at ease and that I was able to help explain what to expect. I hope you are doing well and recovering after your surgery.
I was very nervous about the operation and the anesthetic. Dr. Liz Kingston came to chat and put me ease. She was great administering the anesthetic and I woke up with no sickness and pain free all day. Can't thank her enough.
Very professional and caring Doctor. Highly recommend her.
Thank you for your kind feedback. I am a firm believer that a good clear explanation can help people feel more relaxed for their operation. I am glad to hear you were comfortable and able to get eating and drinking straight away. Hope your recovery has gone well.
What a lovely caring doctor, gave reassurance throughout the procedure. A credit to her professionm
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback after your procedure. Glad to hear you had a good experience, and I hope you are now recovering well.
Dr Liz was absolutely AMAZING! I’m 19 and autistic and needed immediate plastic surgery to remove infection and with her excellent knowledge and experience she turned my week in hospital from a very scary experience into a a more calm and relaxed environment after being reassured. After being told about my op from a Different doctor I ran away and overdosed on drugs and alcohol and refused consent I was alone and thought I wasn’t going to wake up. Then I met Dr Liz and she listened to me and my worries and came up with a plan that was safe and explained everything in a way that I could clearly understand and consent to which I did and trusted her with my life her confidence and empathy was so reassuring. Seeing her face after waking up was amazing I knew I was in safe hands and her staying 4 and a half hours after her shift just to make sure I was receiving the best care which I did. Dr Liz is a credit to the NHS and I am so proud to have been treated by her. I cried the next day because I knew that I would have refused the op that I needed asap if it wasn’t for this Extraordinary doctor.
Looking after autistic patients matters to me personally as my eldest child is autistic. I want to make sure that I always try my hardest to adapt my care so that it meets the needs of an autistic person, and reduces unnecessary stress. Thank you for trusting me, and letting me speak to you to see how I could help you get the surgery you needed. I am so glad you were able to get your treatment, and I hope you are recovering well now.
