I work in retail and spend a full 9 hours of my shift on my feet. 6 months ago I started to get a pain in my heel, on the underside of my foot. I thought it was just pain from to many hours on my feet, but it just got worse and worse. Eventually my struggle to walk had caused me a swollen ankle and knee. I went to see Dr Chandan and he diagnosed, "Plantar Fasciitis ". He advised me that a steroid injection in my heel would be the best course of action. He said there was no need for a hospital visit, he could do the procedure at the surgery, so I booked an appointment for the following week. When I returned Dr Chandan explained the procedure to me, saying he would insert a small needle into my heel and inject the steroid, he made me feel very comfortable and reassured. It was relatively painless, "small scratch", as they say. He said it was fine to walk on immediately, so no special care, but it may become more painful in the next 24 hours and to take painkillers if that were the case. It didn't become more painful at all, not even on the needle site. Over the next 48 hours there didn't seem much change pain wise, I thought maybe it hadn't worked, but from there on it got better daily. I wouldn't say I am totally pain free, I still get the odd pain on standing, but 90% better. I wish I had gone to see Dr Chandan earlier, it would have saved months of agony, but I was thinking along the lines of referrals and hospitals, I had no idea that my GP could do this at the surgery. "Great Care", defiantly, many thanks Dr Chandan.

This was my first visit to the new practice. Very nice, modern spacious surgery. Dr Chandon was very friendly, and professional explaining everything in detail. Many of my colleagues complain about their doctors, but I was very pleased.
