Over a 2 year period I have seen this Consultant. I am fully aware of his breadth of knowledge and qualifications and respect this. However having had a plethora of tests without explanation of their significance or results, and many differing ideas as to what disease I was suffering from, I am no wiser. I would expect to be treated as a whole person whose daily life is severely affected by these multiple symptoms, and to leave the appointment encouraged by some sense that progress was being made. I had many new symptoms that had arisen. They were either dismissed with a wave of the hand, or I was never allowed a pause to even mention them. I went home extremely upset and frustrated. Peoples greatest need is to be listened to.
