The doctor began by introducing himself and explaining where he was from. He explained he wasn’t from my practice but that he had access to my medical records and he had read them before making the call. He then outlined his understanding of why I had asked for the appointment and asked if he had understood correctly. He then took the time to listen while I filled in the blanks as to what had gone on since I had contacted my surgery for the appointment. We then chatted back and forth as to what I had done to try an alleviate my symptoms and how he could assist with my latest what has turned out to be an arthritis flare. I didn’t feel rushed, and I also felt as if he was really listening to me and for someone who I had never met before made me feel that he really cared. Better service and care than from my own GP practice, makes me wish that every time you needed help from a GP this was how it was delivered.
