I was suffering from high blood pressure so the risk of a general anaesthetic was greatly increased. He discussed all my options with me and advised that a spinal option was available so I could have my knee replacement carried out still.

After meeting Dr Jones following our sons procedure at Springfield I cannot praise him highly enough. My 6 year old was apprehensive to say the least but from the moment he met Dr Jones both child and parents were put totally at ease through this difficult time. His kind and thoughtful manner with children and adults alike is superb and his calming influence helped everyone involved. Thank you and keep up the good work.

I had excellent service and as far as any operation can be enjoyable I found the experience very interesting. I can't thank him enough for all his help. After I came out of hospital as well. He might like to know that I went to the second physio class today and was told that I'm doing excellently

I first reviewed Mr.Jones on 13th January 2014 and wanted to update the review day. I had another procedure at Springfield Hospital on Thursday and was very pleased to see Mr.Jones again as my anaesthetist. Yet again, he was as professional as ever and made the procedure so much easier with his calming manner. He is the most charming man you will meet in any walk of life with a perfect sense of humour. He listens to what you want and explains everything fully without making you feel that you shouldnt be asking the questions. He was there every step of the way throughout the procedure explaining everything. I had a nerve block and didnt feel any pain or discomfort at all. I give him the highest praise because he deserves it!! It was a pleasure to have him as my anaesthetist. Thank you once again Mr. Jones. Tracy Abrahams.

Dr. Jones prior to my operation (a total left knee replacement) explained in easy to understand detail of the options and recommendations.He put me completely at ease with what to expect during the operation. I chose the lower back injection so I was awake through the Op.He was with me the whole time explaining what was happening putting me at ease(there was a screen up so you cannot see yourself).He offered to take some photos , to which I agreed. The whole experience was way beyond my expectations. I would certainly recommend Dr. Hywel Jones to anyone requiring an excellent anaesthetist.
