Dr Hywel Jones was my anaesthetist for my surgery in February 2016 performed by Mr Simon Smith. Really made me feel relaxed and informed about my surgery and anaesthetic.

I was kept informed the whole time, things were explained well and although originally nervous of the epidural route I was given the confidence to use that method and was more than pleased with the outcome. During the operation I found it fascinating to have the procedure explained to me and be shown pictures of the operation as it progressed. All in all the process and operation greatly exceeded my expectations.

Dr Jones assisted Mr Simon Smith in my recent reparatory surgery following a distressing ruptured breast implant. I have to say that I have now had 10 general anaesthetics in total for various operations, most unpleasant, and in various hospital locations. On every occasion I have been extremely sick afterwards as I just don't think my body reacts very well to anaesthetics. That was until Dr Jones came along!! He was so lovely, caring and made me feel very relaxed. After a very pain free 'little scratch' I drifted off to sleep and in the blink of an eye it was all over. Much to my relief I wasn't sick!! Yippee!! If I ever have to have another operation I would definitely like to have Dr Jones as my anaesthetist and I thoroughly recommend him to anyone else. Thank you so much Dr Jones. X. Louise.

I am a very nervous person and had it not been for Mr Jones I may well had decided against the op. Obviously I am glad that I chose to listen to what Mr Jones had to say with regards to administering the anaesthetic. Both during and post op Mr jones was very caring and did everything he could to make my recovery as pain free as possible. A wonderful and sincere gentleman.

I know there are probably many positive feedbacks due to relief of getting to the other side of surgery but I feel that I must emphasise the standard of care I received during my recent knee replacement surgery. Dr Jones showed outstanding bedside manner and kindness in relating exactly what I needed to expect before, during and after the operation. He showed great competence in his field and throughout the operation talked me through everything and made me feel completely relaxed and at ease. The after care was along the same lines and made me feel very confident as to what I needed to expect post op. All I can say is thank you so much. I hope I never have to go through that again, but if I do I will know exactly what to expect. The bar has been set very high.
