It may seem seemed strange but I really enjoyed having Dr Jones as my anaesthetist, he explained all what would happen carefully and as I found out accurately but what was best was his cheerful sense of humour which made everything untreatening. When I came round the first thing I saw was his cheerful grin. After my last anaesthetic I had felt grim but not this time, I asked why, he said it was Anaesthetic's magic and it stayed with me the rest of the day.

Mr Smith said that Dr Jones was the best Anaesthetist in the world and I think that might just be true. :-) I had a breast augmentation 2 days ago and I really was not sure what to expect. Dr Jones explained the nature and duration of the pains I would feel. He was completely correct and this eased my post surgery anxieties. He also explained how I would feel today and that I would feel ok but that I should not attempt to left or pull anything and to take it easy for 1-2 weeks. He explained things simply and concisely so that my pre-surgery addled brain could comprehend everything. The anaesthetic was really quite lovely, I was drifted off to sleep with a painless injection and woken in recovery with a lovely team of nurses and the only pains I have suffered have been those which Dr Jones explained at the very outset. Dr Jones has just the right measure of a reassuring bedside manner and excellent clinical skills. I genuinely felt that I was in an extremely safe pair of hands. Thank you.

Dr Hywel Jones was attentive and clearly understood and listened to my concerns. He looked to reassure me and was open and honest about the options for the operation. Whilst he was clearly in charge he let me be part of the process and looked to align the chosen treatment with my wishes. Generally the whole process was stress free and exceeded my expectations.

I met Dr Jones immediately before my operation. He explained everything that was going to happen both before and after my operation very clearly and in a manner that was easy to understand. He answered all of my questions again clearly and explained any technical terms to my complete satisfaction. I am someone who likes to know what is going to happen being an Engineer before I retired so you can find out as much or as little detail as you wish to know about your upcoming anaesthesia. Once in the Theatre the discussions continued as I was given the anaesthetic. Ask Dr Jones about his bucket of £30 notes! He will know what you are asking about! After the operation I felt exactly as Dr Jones described. Dr Jones completely put me at ease both before and after the operation and I consider myself extremely lucky that he was my Anaesthetist. I would high recommend him to anyone requiring the services and skills that he provides. Thank you so much Dr Jones.
