I had surgery for a breast reduction just before Christmas and cannot sing Dr Jones praises enough! As my Anaesthetist he put me at ease with his confident and caring manner. He ensured the operation went well, with both him and Simon Smith making the perfect team - I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone thinking about the procedure. Thank you!

Dr Hywel Jones was my Anaesthetist when I had knee replacement surgery at the Springfield Hospital 10 days ago. The pre-op meeting with him was very informative, explicit and tailored to my understanding. Dr Jones is highly professional but also he immediately put me at ease with his friendly and confident bedside manner. I was awake during the operation but I felt no pain and Dr Jones ensured I was comfortable throughout; time flew by with his interesting and entertaining conversation in theatre. The synergy of the operating team was palpable. I had great confidence in him during the op and his post-op visits were equally of the highest calibre. I am indebted to him for such a positive experience and cannot recommend him highly enough. A fantastic man providing great care.

I had surgery 3 weeks ago at The Springfield Hospital , my pre-op meeting was clearly explained , in basic terms but not patronising , what I could expect post -op . In the anaesthetic room Dr Jones put me at ease , unfortunately I was asleep before I could hear the end of his jokes . Post op I was pain free due to the nerve blocks and pain medication I was given.I would highly recommend Dr Jones if you need surgery. Many thanks

This was my first ever operation and even though I am over 50 I was extremely nervous. However, Dr Jones made me feel relaxed and at ease making the actual injection almost painless. Based on this experience, if I ever need another op I would not be so apprehensive.
