I first met Hywel Jones at my pre-operation assessment, when he introduced himself as the anaesthetist who would be involved in my knee replacement. He immediately made me feel less nervous with his professional and caring attitude and assured me he would take great care of me. True to his word I was relaxed on the day of my operation and Hywel went through everything again with me pre and post operation , ensuring I understood all my pain management and the importance of my physio. I have to have my other knee operated on in the future and if Hywel Jones is NOT my anaesthetist, then I am not having it done.

I was seen at Springfield Hospital by Dr Hwyel Jones pre-op for an Arthroscopy. I was really impressed by his friendly and informative approach. He immediately put me at ease. I felt briefed about the procedure and what I should do post-op.

He was very honest about how much this knee replacement op would hurt (and it does) and about how long it would all take. He made me laugh at a time when I was scared, and pushed me afterward to do physio I didn't think I could do. I had total confidence in him - he's wonderful.
