I came under the care of Dr Dhanupriya Sivapathasuntharam ('Dr Siva') through an A&E admission. She and her team were on duty. I was diagnosed with a serious pulmonary embolism with associated heart problems. Dr Siva bent over backwards to find the most appropriate treatment for me, involving the cardiology team and spending time reading and researching reports to help inform our decision. Members of her team came individually during my stay and attended to various associated issues and questions. She passed me over to the cardiology team but phoned twice on a Saturday to find out how I was and asked a colleague on duty to come and see me. She then visited me in person shortly before my discharge which allowed me to express my heartfelt thanks to her. Highly recommended.
